Why LetBuddy exists
LetBuddy comes out of more than ten years of managing multi-million pound operational assets: sites with statutory inspection regimes, hard compliance deadlines, and real money moving through them every month. Most of that work is process. How a portfolio is run so that nothing slips: the finances, the deadlines, the issues that arrive without warning.
One lesson kept coming back: everything needs to be in one place. Once information is split across spreadsheets, inboxes and sticky notes, you're no longer managing your assets. You're managing the search for information about them. A dedicated system is the difference between staying ahead of problems and reacting to them.
That's standard in professional asset management and rarely reaches residential property, where a portfolio is usually run off a spreadsheet and a reminder on somebody's phone. The rules don't care. A certificate expires on the same schedule whether one person is tracking it or forty, the tax deadlines land on the same dates, and the penalty for missing one is the same. LetBuddy was built to close that gap.
None of that is about size. The same LetBuddy runs a single flat and several hundred properties managed for other people. There's no larger edition, no feature switched on by portfolio size, and no charge per user, so the people who do the work, a management team, a bookkeeper, an accountant, each get their own login and see only the properties you give them. The per-property price falls as the portfolio grows and then stops rising, which is what makes running a few hundred properties on it a sensible thing to do rather than a licensing negotiation.
Regulations shift and deadlines move, and it's easy to spend the week chasing certificates instead of doing the work you took the properties on to do. So the product flags things before they become problems, and it's kept current with the law across all four UK nations as the law changes.
LetBuddy exists so you don't have to hold it all in your head. One place for your properties, your finances, your compliance and your maintenance. It sits beside the people you already rely on, your agent, your accountant, your advice line, holding the dated record they all work from rather than replacing any of them.
How we work
- We answer. Support goes to the people who build the product, and general questions get a reply within one business day.
- We ship. The product is developed continuously, and compliance rules are updated as legislation changes rather than in an annual release.
- We publish what we have and haven't done. Our security page says where your data sits and who touches it, and the price promise fixes your rate for the life of your account.
LETBUDDY LTD is a company registered in Scotland (company number SC899802). Where your data is held, and every company that touches it, is listed on the security page.
